Designed specifically to Darth Vader's specifications, this deadly starfighter would have won the Battle of Yavin for the Empire had it not been for the intervention of the Millennium Falcon. Heavily armored and equipped with deflector shields and a hyper drive, it saved Vader's life after the Battle of Yavin, bearing him safely to the savage wilderness planet of Vaal. There, Vader was forced to ditch it in the middle of the vast savannah, and it is there that the remains of the first and last TIE Advanced x1 Starfighter rest.
